Artist Statement

For me the plasticity of paint is the perfect vehicle for self-expression. My use of the medium is about color and fluidity. I prefer the optimistic feel of pure, bright color.

I continue to pursue growth and evolution in my imagery with an interest in discovering and expressing a vision of nature/life/experience from the viewpoint of a genuine self. My process, being intuitive and tactile, is an opportunity for the unknown to come to the surface.

I work both from life, a lover of nature and landscape, and from imagination. Recently I have been working on a personal interpretation of nature by further pushing the boundaries of color and form to find the most essential elements of the subject.
